Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN in July 2021 as the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. As an official for the Space and Defense Department, Kristin Fisher covers everything including NASA to the recently formed Space Force as well as commercial space companies and space tourism. Kristin was mother of NASA astronauts, and also a space enthusiast was raised within the space industry. She spent five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Biden and Trump administrations. In that period she also reported on two presidential impeachment trials, the 2020 presdiential campaign, as well as two administration's attempts to control the spread of coronavirus. Kristin traveled frequently, and both with the president and vice president. She even went on a secret trip to Afghanistan alongside Donald Trump. Before being hired by the channel in, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up through the local news channels including Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. With her experience behind the camera, Kristin founded Field Mouse Films in 2014, which was a specialist in documentary style films for clients of corporate nature, including Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelors in Science in Journalism from Boston University. Kristin is married to her daughter, and their three-year-old in Washington, D.C.
